To be a “BUDDY “

Today my son came home from school and told me that the principal had gone classroom to classroom personally telling the children of Blue Lake Elementary that Dana had passed away.

So loved by his community was this giant teddy bear that the principal felt it important to tell the children herself. So loved by the children of our community that the school took the time to address his passing. I have never even heard of something like this happening for someone. It is truly amazing how much love Dana created just by walking in a room.

Dana was a true force of nature. He was a being of magic and light who pushed everyone around him to do better just by being his “Buddy”. I can still hear him answer his phone “hey buddy”. Didn’t matter who was calling.

I am still shocked at the news that he has moved on. I never once doubted that he would soon be home.

Your love will be missed.
Good by my friend. My Buddy
